Effective September 2026
Plat is a customer relationship manager for independent medical device sales representatives. It holds the accounts you call on, the people you deal with there, what you sold, and what you plan to do next. This page describes exactly what that means for your data.
What Plat is not for
Plat is for business contacts and business records. It is not a place for patient information, and it is not designed, tested, or offered as a system for protected health information. Do not enter patient details into Plat.
What is stored
- Your account: email address and password, handled by our authentication provider. Passwords are never stored in a form we can read.
- Your records: accounts, contacts, activities, sales figures, products, files and calendar entries — whatever you enter.
- Your profile: the name, company, email and phone you choose to put in it.
Where it lives
Records are stored on your device and synchronised to a database hosted by Supabase on servers in the United States. Each account can read and write only its own rows; this is enforced by the database itself, not only by the app.
Your address book
Plat can import contacts from your phone. The address book is read only when you start an import, and only the contacts you select are saved into Plat. Everything else is left where it is and is never uploaded. You can decline the permission and use every other part of the app.
Provider lookups
When you search for a hospital or practice by name, the search term is sent to the NPPES National Provider Identifier registry, a free public directory published by the US Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Only the words you type are sent. Your identity is not.
Payment
Subscriptions are sold through Apple’s In-App Purchase. Apple processes the payment and Plat never sees your card details. Subscription status is managed by RevenueCat, which tells Plat whether a subscription is active so the app knows what to unlock.
Account emails — confirmation and password resets — are sent through Resend. Plat does not send marketing email.
What is never done
- Your data is not sold, rented, or shared with anyone for their own purposes.
- There is no advertising in Plat and no tracking of you across other apps or websites.
- There are no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs in the app.
Getting your data out, and deleting it
You can export your records as a spreadsheet from inside the app at any time, without asking anyone. Deleting your account from within the app permanently removes your records and your login. Deletion is not reversible, so export first if you want a copy.
Children
Plat is a professional tool for working sales representatives and is not directed at anyone under 18.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what is collected or who it is shared with, the effective date above changes and the new version is posted here before it takes effect.
